Anyone running a DSG software upgrade on their TDI?

If the dealer upgrades the file then you need to rewrite it however what we do and maybe some others is try and use the latest version of the DSG software so worst case all we have to do is reload the file, typically though they wil see the current version and leave it alone

. Basically we give you a free upgrade which you would otherwise pay for if the car is out of warranty.
There's no reason why the other guys can't do this if they don't already and I'm pretty sure APR do

7 minutes tops to read and 7 to write although some places may just do the write via the OBD port once they've looked at the existing SW version number.
