To undo it, you may need 17mm crows foot spanner - slimmer the better. I always remove the EGR pipe for easier access. When you installing it, don't bother with the 17mm crows foot, just use 17mm short spanner.

I would keep a pre-turbo EGT sensor if you're keen on tuning (and you are )

    Transporters method is spot on.

Although i didnt need a crows foot. Once the EGR pipe was off it was fairly easy with a spanner.

Takes bout half hour on a hoist. Book time is 90time units (54 minutes)

Please, this is not sarcasm on my part - beleive me - but - the dealer has its own unit of time? Normal time not good enough eh?

Sounds like something from a Monty Python skit

(ps, I realise its 100seconds/unit.... just makes me laugh is all)

are the lunch breaks also measured in time units?

Yeah i know, i always read 100time units as 1 hour 40minutes. Then found 100 units is only 1 hour.

Stumps me. That is VW method

It's pretty normal in the automotive industry to use 'metric time' these days.

Hilarious but not surprising, the United States is the only industrialized country where the metric system is not the official system of units.
