Hire car provided FOC for the entire period, VW excellent in service and communication.
Also had the computer changed out as well as it was cooked. Only took that long to fix as parts where in VIC and
airspace was shut down, Will be looking into getting extended warranty. Was told that the wire loom was the problem
and this has been fixed with the install of the new one, and should not happen again

Warranty expired 03/11, I am the second owner. According to service manager, VW insisted all four injectors were replaced (even though only one was faulty) and the wiring loom. They covered it "under warranty"
Only real gripe was that it took three weeks to be fixed, a result of slow shipment of parts to this remote part of the world...

More details(optional). Care regularly serviced, never in accident, not thrashed and only 6 months over warranty. Demand letter for costs of repairs sent to VW with request VW change the other three injectors. Have referred VW to Competition & Consumer Act and have pointed out that the offending parts are not fit for purpose, not of merchantable quality and not of acceptable quality. If I do not get a response my lawyer is instructed to report the matter to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission and amongst other thing order a product recall.
