It shouldn't be a wear issue with such low km. It's possible the windscreen hasn't been sealed properly but I would have thought you'd notice some wind noise or something like it as well. The other option is that the turbo has foreign object damage and is a little unbalanced, or less severe, there's a break/crack in the turbo intake pipe which will certainly make it louder. Finally it could be a crack in the exhaust... Pretty unlikely I would think.

Could be that when your windscreen is hot its lifting off the bead of sealant somewhere....?

The windscreen blocks all other noise perfectly. i don't hear and wind noise either.

My bet is to check all the intercooler pipes and fitting near the turbo etc.

Yeah my vote is the outlet tube from the turbo, they have those crappy c clamps, and a small leak there is very very obvious. When I removed the silencer in the start of the intercooler plumbing, and the turbo was dumping straight into an aftermarket silicon elbow, it was very obtrusive up high on the dash, ended up going back to the stock fitting.

if the windscreen's not sealing, check the carpet for wet areas in the footwells, after any rain

Pressure test the car body? (imagines using several workshop VAC's to pump air into the car via a taped up window, whilst hosing around the windscreen looking for bubbles!)
