Hi Guys,
Just looking through the service schedule and noticed the need to drain water or change the fuel filter at 15,000km pending the fuel. Compliant or non compliant with DIN EN 590.
My car and manual is UK based so dont know if this applies to aussie cars or fuel.
If not, what is the filter change intervals in aussie 1.9s? and is there a water drain interval?
pic of service manual and car for attention.
car is a 2002 1.9tdi mk4 ATD/AXR

60,000km/4yrs is the replacement interval here.
You'd have to physically look at the bottom of the filter to see if it has a water drain.

It might be 30,000km in his. I’d never exceed 2years regardless what manufacturer wants.

Manual did say 30k km replace regardless of fuel I think.
Exactly. Especially when I don't know the history of the car.
New filter went in before I drove it. I did run a tank/alge cleaner in the tank early on so who knows what that stired up

Does appear to have some sort of drain. Will investigate further.

Looks similar to what the T4 has.

Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.
