We have had no real issues with a Golf, Tiguan and (rental) Passats. The Golf had the alternator replaced under warranty and no further problems in the past five years. The Passat drives well; I really enjoy driving the V6 petrol version with its mod cons. The diesel Tiguan is also great but obviously is quite a different vehicle. About to buy a new V6 Highline due to favourable experiences.
