Where to buy single (OEM) MY11 125TDI alloy?

Ok so I had a bit of a run in with a gutter today and naturally came off second best.

A trip to my local dealer (Werribee) produced a quote of 1300 rim only. Any idea where I can do better than this!!

    Cheers guys

No, no, no....... That is an insane quote by the dealer.

Do a google search for Alloy wheel repair in your area. The wheel can be repaired as good as new & depending on the amount of damage usually for under a couple of hundred $$$$$..

I'm not sure it's just gravel rash; there is a hole in the sidewall big enough for my 8 year old to put his fist through. I'm worried about the structural integrity of the rim. Can that be fixed or am I better to err on the side of caution and get a new rim?

mate if there is a hole in the wheel that big you might wanna check your suspension too, something could be bent.
As for the wheel, why not go thru insurance? Thats what its for right?

Am indeed having front end checked out and yes will likely go through insurance. But if the wheel is the only thing wrong I would love to think I could pick up a wheel and tyre for less than the excess?

You could try a specialist VW wreckers. Living in the eastern suburbs of Sydney and reverse parking all the time, I think nearly every one of my wheels is scarred in one way or another
