When does Passat go MY10 and what are the additions?

    Hey there,

I am not so well versed in the Passat and wanted to know when the MY10 build will begin and the additional features/changes that are likely to be in that model year.

In short, we are shopping in the next few months and want to do some research before we jump into something. Also helps with negotiations on the lot.

    Cheers,

    Michael.

Passat went MY10 on 01 July 2009 (model number changes then every year). Not familiar with the changes myself but I am sure the VWA website may help.

    Hi Michael,

In short, self sealing tyres and same steering wheel as the CC, well that's for the normal Passat anyway, not sure about the R36.

They've rearranged the fuse boxes in the ends of the dash as well. Actually, that came in on the '09s at some point. Makes wiring up towbars on them that extra bit more challenging

FWIW, my R36 arrived this week and I got Continental ContiSport Contact 3 ...

Looks like there is still some variation. Initial impressions are thet they are quieter and a tad more compliant than the Dunlops on the demo I drove...

    LOVE the car!

My R36 came with Dunlop SP01's and they where completely useless in the wet. Took them off after 5000 miles and replaced with Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric which has totally transformed the car.

Same with my R36 picked up last week. Feel like something sounds different from the test drive but that was so long ago now; who knows? Right now, who cares, another 'love the car'.
