Hi all,
Noticed a small button beside the drivers seat underneath the centre pillar, does anyone know what it does? will try and take a pic.
Also, the 'automatic' wipers, how does it all work?
Seat memory - any ideas how to reset all of them to start again?
Cheers

Automatic wipers in my car at least, move it from "off" up 1 position the wipers will move once and then stop. When it detects rain they will start automatically from then off.

There is a sensor on the windscreen at top centre, behind the rear view mirror. It uses infrared beams to detect moisture on the glass (something about refraction of the light through the droplets of water, I can't remember exactly how the technology works). When it detects rain, it will activate the wipers. Depending on how heavy the rain is, the sensor will shorten the delay between wipes, all the way down to continuous wipes if necessary, and to high speed in very heavy rain. The wipers will deactivate automatically when the sensor detects that the rain has stopped.
It's in the manual in the memory seats section (page 79 in mine)Seat memory - any ideas how to reset all of them to start again?
1. Open the driver's side door, but don't get in.
2. From the outside, adjust the backrest angle as far forward as it will go.
3. Release the switch, and then press it again until you hear a gong.
Evidently this is the 'initialization' procedure for the seats, and will erase all the position memories and vehicle key assignments.
