And these are around the same corners and similar speeds, therefore I reckon its the tires.
I think the tyres are fitted because there is a full size spare in the boot, which is not the case with the GTI, R32, R50 (not sure on the passat cc).
As such the tyres need to be assymetrical which the conti sports, dunlop sportmax are not. If those tyres were used you would need 2 spare tyres.
Don't flame me if I am incorrect- but thought this might be the case.
I agree that the Dunlops Sp01s are rubbish (as per my original post), and will be changing them as soon as possible.
One thing I have noticed, OEM tyres are always more expensive, and a dealer once told me "most" people change their tyres like for like, and as the tyre manufacturer sells the tyres to the manufacturers so cheap, they recoup costs from most people who dont switch brands.
Confirmed Global Warming Sceptic. No Longer a VW Owner -Loving my new 2011 Range Rover Sport - bought as VW unable to provide info on the new Toureg despite it being released overseas 12 mths ago. 2008 R36 Wagon, 2006 GTI and 2004 R32 - Gone.
