Well my R36 has arrived and is in my garage

And I love it. Couldn't resist, had a blast up the freeway to visit some customers in the Adelaide hills...too much fun.

Now, I wonder if one of you knowledgeable folk can help me: I am having trouble getting my RNS510 to read MP3 discs.

    Standard CD=OK
    Standard DVD=OK
    MP3 on SD card=OK
MP3 on CD or DVD: Nada.

I'm wondering if maybe I am burning my discs in an incorrect format? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

I live up the first exit on the freeway... did you come past here?

What program do you use to burn your CD's? I use Nero and burn data DVD's on DVD-RW's. They play just fine. I've had problems with Itunes, but I know it's a piece of junk anyway so I was only trying it to see what happened.

What specs did you get? I can't remember. Did you buy the car from a girl named Kate? She's pretty cool.

Ended up taking the Hahndorf exit to Balhannah about 12.00pm, then across to Piccadilly (Spring Gully Rd) about 1.00pm via some twisty back sections, then back on the freeway to Adelaide approx 2.00pm.

Specs were a sedan w. RNS and sunroof.

I ordered mine through Karl @ Belair Rd, and he then passed the pre-del on to Allison who just transferred to Belair Rd from the Medindie office.

Karl was very cool: made sure that I placed an order to ensure I received delivery before my Territory rego ran out. Very personal service.

More pics to follow, but here she is in my office car park, taken using my mobile phone...

    Better pics will follow later

    .

UInfortunately I don't have Nero but I was able to burn a disc last night using some other software: but then I tried a new disc this morning having burned with the same software and nuffin. So I think it will be a trial and error thing.

If worse comes to worse, I can load up my SD card with 2 GB at a time, then transfer to HDD. With 20GB free it will only mean 10 downloads!

BTW the SD card is a great way to load up podcasts. The old ipod might be reserved for airplane and interstate car rentals only from now on...

    Try this little beauty: http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/

Just burn them as a data DVD - I do mine on DVD-RW so I can copy the stuff across to the hard drive then burn a new disc.
