Any one living in Victoria?
can we gather up and compare the jerkiness?
I'm sick of imagining how jerky other people's DSG unit is.
Good on you , but i have the same trouble with mine except no one can decipher what the read out is saying, VWA has no idea and had to forward the bad code read out to VW in Germany
even they cant work out what causing the trouble except to suggest up grade all the software , which did nothing so now i;m waiting again to hear back from Germany as to what the next step is, The dealer said his hands are tied and can only do warranty work with VWA approval.
Barloworld has told me no one has ever seen what my car is showing on the VAG unit and doesn't know what to do , said i might have to leave my car with them for a week for further investigation and no loan car because its a warranty job .

My car was 08 Passat from Barloworld Glenwaverley. I had to leave my car there for about 2 weeks for them to diagnose the problem. They said they sent the log files to VWde for analysis as they didn't know what it was.
The jerkiness I felt was big, as in when I was following my wife when picking up the car, it was bunny rabbit off the lights, I could SEE the car jerking at takeoff. And the I could not park in the garage as I can't roll with no throttle, it'll just launch to about 10km/h from standstill.
Basically it was like driving a car with a brass button clutch when trying to learn manual
Well just to add to the list of Passats with gearbox problems - I'm waiting on replacement clutch packs to come from Germany. Two weeks ago the car started vibrating as it was accelerating through 2-3000 rpm in 2nd 4th and 6th. You would also hear a rattle under light load in those gears - as well as the rev's flaring by about 100-200 rpm - felt exactly like a clutch slipping in a manual car.
Finally was able to take it into the dealer on Wednesday, they had to keep the car overnight as they were being instructed by VW Australia to perform different tests on it. Had a phone call at one stage on Tuesday asking whether I had modified the car at all as there was an error code thrown up that usually only happens on cars that have been chip tuned or the ECU modified. The car is completely stock - but it took a bit of convincing to make them believe that I had not modified the car. I found it unusual that they wouldn't be able to tell this anyway.
After keeping the car overnight and running some more tests on Thursday VW Australia has decided to replace the clutches in the car - so I have it back in the meantime and the vibration is getting worse as each day goes by. Todays drive home was quite eventful - will probably need to drive it in 1st 3rd and 5th until these clutch packs come in from Germany to get replaced.

on the weekends there are some low traffic areas around laverton and heading into point cook's sanctuary lakes area and down to point cook itself... there is also some industrial areas in laverton north that are long roads with not much traffic on the weekends.

wrong side of town for me. But im also a little concerned. I get a jerky and sometimes slippage when in reverse.. tends to not move much until you jam the pedal down.
