    VW Dealers!!!

Now I've got your attention just want to let you know that I took the plunge today and ordered my R36 Sedan

Would like to take this oportunity to thank Dermot from Wangara VW in Perth.
Certainly proved to this jaded old buyer that there are good dealers out there who are fair, don't pay games and give good pricng.

Cannot recommend Dermot or the team at Wangara in Perth highly enough.

Can also recommend another dealer for the guys over east.
PhillpVWdealer was great too and likewise gave a good price without fuss.

Now the 6 month wait is going to feel like forever

Makes my 4 month wait sound a little better.

What options did you go with?

Dermot has been a great help to many people on here.
Definitely good to talk to if you are in WA.

    I've ordered a White Sedan
    Sunroof (of course)
    Sat Nav
    Adaptive Cruise Control
    Lane Assist
    Adaptive Suspension
The only option I didn't go for was Dynaudio as I listen to the radio mainly and both dealers said it was a waste for me.
That plus $2000 plus LCT for the audio would buy a few mods at a local HiFi shop or better still some money towards 19x8.5" fat tackies

Why adaptive suspension? Just curious. One of the main reasons I went for the R36 over the CC was the suspension. The adaptive suspension just isn't as dynamic as the stanard R36 setup.

I was thinking the same thing about lane assist.

I never really understood what it does and hence why you would want it.

Lane assist is one of those things you don't really use, it's a passive safety feature. On those long drives where you sometimes drift outside a lane, lane assist will steer you back into your lane. It might, only might, save you from a collision. It's not for everyone. It's totally unlike ACC which is a driving aid.

I thought that was what the plastic ripple strips in the white lines were for
    How far technology has come!

How much does lane assist set you back?

Regarding the suspension, it's not just my thoughts. It's a fact. The standard suspension in the R36 handles better than the adaptive version VW now offer as an option. Hence why I was curious why you'd want to "tone down" one of the sporty characteristics of a sporty car. Not having a go - just wanted to know why is all.
