VW Australia Level of Contact with Customers

    Hi Guys,

I'm just wondering if VW Australia makes regular contact with their customers? Had the B7 Passat for 6 months now and although I completed an online survey pertaining to the purchase of the Passat, I've heard absolutely nothing for the last 5 months or so.

I'm asking because with my previous 2010 Mazda 6, not only the Mazda dealer, but Mazda Australia called me two weeks after purchase to see how things were going with the new car. They would also send out marketing news and invites to product launches as well as a survey after every service to ensure the dealer's service department was meeting expectations. I actually received a Xmas card from Mazda Australia last year even though I had traded in the Mazda6 for the Passat! Unfortunately, no Xmas card from VW Australia or the VW dealer.

Can new B7 Passat owners let me know if they receive anything from VW Australia on a regular basis? If so, I'll need to get on to them as I may have dropped off the system.

    Thanks!

First two VW's I bought the Saleswoman made follow up calls and the level of service was absolutely exceptional.

Third purchase and I'm not feeling loved at all. Heard nothing other than the surveys.

When I bought a new Nissan once I too received calls from both the dealership and head office.

VW do send out a nice magazine every so often though.

Not really that fussed about it though to be honest although once thing I have noticed is that the level of satisfaction depends greatly upon the salesperson you deal with...

I Spent the equivalent of two golfs when buying my passat 2 years ago, haven't heard boo from anyone..... just an emailed survey where I was quite detailed in my issues regarding the transmission(Clunky etc), when asked if I would like someone to contact me regarding any issues, I said yes, Nothing.... Customer service doesn't seem to exist.

It still isn't fixed, been back to the dealer 4 times to fix it, still crappy gearchange and not smooth taking off.

Yes customer service from VW is woefull
Contacted VW customer service and found out it's manned by automated robots who can't think and only reply with "ask your dealer" (or not at all)

No, nothing from VW other than the magazine. Other than dealer survey after services, they have not ever contacted me even though this is the 2nd new VW in 3 years, and 3 new vehicle in 5 years bought from them. But I don't expect anything TBH.

Bike dealerships are worse though, I've spent $149,000 with same dealer over last 9 years and get no recogniton and zero customer service when I've needed it. Just the way lots of retail and service industries in Queensland operate! Bloody hopeless! Wouldn't know customer service if it bit them on the bum!

However, my dealer does give great service when the car goes in for service (loan vehicle, on time etc.) so that's a positive at least.
