RDC510. Pretty sure the RSN would work the same way. If this didn't work I was up for a $400 ipod adaptor

    Hi Guys,

I just purchased a MY09 R36 with an RDC510. I am using a 8gb SDHC Kingston card loaded with MP3's. I created the MP3's directly from my iTunes library. It works well and song title / artist info is displayed on the RCD510 and the MFD. Only gripe is that is can be slow to browse the directory structure (however the manual does state this). I believe that the max card size supported is 32gb.

    Fantastic response ash!

In regards to the slow browsing, do you know what speed (Class) your SDHC card is? Sometimes they write it as Class X (or X is a number in a circle)? Eg. (6) = Class 6.

Also, are you using FAT32 or NTFS? Sorry for getting techy. I will try these myself but I don't get my car till May 09!!!

Format is fat32. from mem it is a 6Mb/s card but will check tonight. I have about 50 directories in the root so it takes about 30 - 45 seconds to scan. Once you dig deeper it speeds up as there are not as many objects. At the moment I am navigating music based on the directory structure which is a bit average. I hope there is a way to browse based on ID tages (artist, album, etc.)

    Thumbs up

    Hey Guys,

I also created and copied MP3's directly to my 12gb Card from itunes. I have about 11gb of music all in the one directory. The card takes about 5 seconds to start from cold. I select "MIX" and then start playing. Once I find something I feel like listening to I switch off the mix and can start listening to the Album!

Got to love the SD card option!

    No. None.

Shuffle the whole lots and stop shuffle when I find something I like.

    Works for me
