    Tyre Receommendations

Hi, my original Continental Sport 3 tyres need replacing. I have done 47,000 klms on them & they have been a good tyre for allround grip, noise, aquaplaning etc. All 4 have worn quite evenly & I am considering off loading the car within the next 40,000 klms so trying to get a tyre that perfoms on par with the originals but will hopfully still be roadworthy when it comes time to sell.

Mine is the V6 so runs on 235/40 R18. Would appreciate any experiences shared on tyres. Thanks.

I got 4 Michelin PS3. Awesome tyres, even they are not Self sealing ones but grips well on dry and better on wet & quiet.

Very close or better than the CSC depends on how much you hammer it.
However I tend to hammer mine a lot and seems this beast grips like hell compare to the CSC and no tire noise at all.

Cheers Saints70. What price did you pay & what mileage did you get out of them?

Going to throw Goodyear Eagle F1s in the recommendation list.

I've been through about 5 sets of 235/40r18 of tyres on a powerful fwd car that almost no tyres bar the F1s could withstand loosing traction under load.

The f1s are quiet for a sports tyre and they wear well. I took them on a track and after a good 5-6 hard laps they only lost 20% tread and held up really well in reducing understeer with little sidewall flex.

However, they're definitely not comfortable and can induce tramlining more than other tyres I've had in the past.

I love these tyres and they set the benchmark when I'm looking for tyres. Unfortunately I won't be able to buy them for my current car due thier sizing that doesn't fit my current wheels
