Hi Diesel Vert
Thanks for the highly detailed answer! I've now ordered 4 x seal kits (from ECS) and that may be the end of this particular problem... no doubt, there will be a new problem shortly after this one is solved!
But wait, of course there's still the auto closing tailgate that doesn't auto close, even after VW Artarmon fitted a new motor in the system, then there's the cargo bay room light that used to work after said VW dealer "fixed" it, but it doesn't want to play anymore... and when these things are fixed, there'll be something else, it's the original never-ending story!
Thanks again for your input!

Yes, it does open, and it did close itself for a few weeks after VW replaced one of the motors under warranty, but then it just stopped performing one day. I did nothing wrong, it wasn't forced or anything like that, it just stopped working. Now I have to force it to close by hand and it just doesn't feel right as the resistance is very apparent.
My VW mechanic suggested that it could be a sensor fail somewhere... I dunno, it's very annoying though. The last time VW "fixed" it they had the car for a week!
It could be the switch I guess, it could be anything, I just don't know. It goes back to VW on the 11th of June, so we will see what is revealed then I guess.

Hi all
A TPMS update. I ordered the seal kits for the sensors, had them fitted and the wheels rebalanced and all was good... then today, the damn light comes on again. Low tyre pressure it says. So I check the tyre pressures on all 4 wheels and adjusted them all to show 40psi each. The light goes out... for a while.
Then this afternoon it comes on again! So, I checked all the tyres again, all still at 40psi, so clearly theres a fault. I try to turn the system off to reset by holding the button in for about 30secs. It turns off, and then a few minutes later it turns itself on again - without permission!
And the usual warning light comes on again, so I keep turning it off - it turns itself on... I'm getting bored with this now. I've never had a TPMS on any of my previous cars and I think I can probably live without it - I mean, it doesn't work anyway... So I'm thinking just remove the fuse and be done with it.
But, which fuse is it? Theres no ID on any of the fuses under the bonnet, so I'm stumped now!
Any ideas/suggestions??
Thanks for reading too!
