Be very interested to hear your thoughts on the race version as this is the one I was looking at. If it drones though, then no dice. Also, on the fitment cost, I would be surprised if you pay $400-500. Hoist the car up, bolt off, bolt on, shouldn't be more than an hour's labour? Could even DIY it I imagine.

Yes, drone is a 100% dealbreaker for me... so, we'll see!

I'll let you know how much the fitting costs - nothing is easy and straightforward these days, theres always a problem!

I am running the "sport/racing" and it's great. Definitely not too loud and absolutely no drone. If anything I wouldn't mind if it was a bit louder haha.

With regards to fitting - I had mine fitted by Jack at BLA in Sydney. He was fantastic - he installed it and told me to come back in 2-3weeks for an adjustment as the system would move around a little until it settled. I know mine moved slightly so it was great to be able to get it adjusted for free (he actually took half the system off to do this). On a funny side - it's interesting to see the cat-back "grow" when it's hot. The tips can extend by about 2-3cm from their cold position...always good to be aware of.

Haha, jealous, doubt anyone has it in Adelaide! That's great to hear, I reckon I will order mine for a Christmas present to myself.

If you're keen to get the SS system, you might like to try Mike Glew at BestExhausts Pty Ltd.

Do a Google for the company.

Mike has bent over backwards to help me with this purchase. He even went straight to SS and tried to convince them to "give" us a set of the LHD headers so we could research the item to see if we could make it work with a few simple mods. Then if successful we'd pay a discounted rate for the whole system as we'd performed some R&D for them and opened up the potential of the RHD market for them...

Sadly SS weren't interested in playing ball though, they said the RHD market is "only" about 40% of the total market and that they didn't want to pursue it...

Serious lack of foresight there, but thats how they roll!

Hey guys. A mate of mine just rang me last night saying that he is getting a full system done on his R36. I will be seeing him over the weekend and let him know that you don't seem to be able to get a RHD header for them. Anyhow, at least he will have some knowledge before he goes in spending his tax return. If something happens of it I will let you guys know about it.

That's good to hear, I saw their online quote appears to be the best so it's good to know their customer service is similarly good. Did they give you the price listed here or were you able to negotiate a better deal?
