Im getting it done aftermarket through the VW Dealer, got the overhead model as the Headrest models need a different style of headrest and I did not want to spoil the seats. Also got the MDI ,Window tint, and paint and interior protection.

Nooooooooooooo!!!! Paint and interior protection... PLEASE don't waste your hard earned. Pay a professional dealer to do a 100 times better job using MUCH better products for about a quarter of the price. You're in Sydney - I can recommend one of the best guys in the country...

Rocket is spot on here... don't waste your cash on paint protection. Ditch the Ming Mole at the dealer and get a really good detailer on to. Not only will the paint get better treatment it will also look a million dollars, better than when you picked it up from the dealer.

Search the thread on washing your car and you will get the full run down on the right way to do it.

Confirmed Global Warming Sceptic. No Longer a VW Owner -Loving my new 2011 Range Rover Sport - bought as VW unable to provide info on the new Toureg despite it being released overseas 12 mths ago. 2008 R36 Wagon, 2006 GTI and 2004 R32 - Gone. Sorry VW, you make great cars but until you improve your customers' experiences you will lose customers

Same with tinting - you will get better tint for less $ by organising it yourself.

...had a mate round for dinner last night and told him I have a CC on order and that I can't wait to get into it, especially as I've seen a couple of them getting around lately, geez they look good! Anyway his comment was, "Why waste money like that when you can get an up-market VE Commodore and save $10,000". I just smiled and said, "Life is too short to spend in a Commodore".

Some people will never understand... and the great thing is that those who will never understand... don't matter!

LoL!!! I went from the VE Clubsport to my R36 (after initially wanting a 3.6 CC) and while they're a great car and WAY better than ANY Commodore before them, they're still quite agricultural. Losing the V8 rumble (and basic bluetooth as standard) was the ONLY downside. The Germans have it hands down in my opinion! Subtle AND agressive. I love it!
