    Stuck Parking Sensor

OK guys, any ideas? Driving this morning out of the driveway, one of the front parking sensors is constantly detecting a phantom something (angel on my bumper?) about 18 inches from the front of the car (so it's the orange line not the red one).

Stopped the car, restarted, in case that may help reset something but no good, so it's still going crazy whenever I reverse.

Anyone else have this ever? Faulty sensor?

    I have had phantom objects.

Mostly water or grime on the sensors in my case, cleared by flushing the sensors with water.

Examine the sensors and carefully remove anything on them.

Thanks Dave, will give that a try. They looked fine from a cursory glance, i.e. nothing damaged or visibly obviously stuck on them. I'll give them a clean and see if that helps.

don't you need special lenses to see the phantoms?

Went out at lunchtime and it was fine... go figure. Will have to keep an eye on it and see if it comes back (the phantom that is!).
