Still Waiting- pushing 7 months. Beat that.

Well, I've been VERY patient, but it aint getting any easier .

Car was ordered 13 June, has all sorts of excuses & promises and NOW they are saying its in the country but we won't get it until 9th jan earliest.

The dealer has told me that the SAT NAV is the big problem- any cars with this included have been delayed due to its popularity.

So, i reckon 4 days short of 7 months is a record?

Anyone beat that? ( Lambo/ Maserati and Ferrari buyers excluded)

I ended up buying a 2007 Polo for my 18yo which the wife gets until the passat arrives. so there's 3 very anxious people waiting. Lovely little thing, a bit gutless but that was exaclty what he needed.
had a passat tdi. now mb c class.

I'll be waiting about 12 months for a bloody Nissan by the time it arrives!

Not so good news regarding the Passat - I waited six for the R36 to get here and it wasn't even in production when I ordered. The story about the sat nav seems a bit suss to me...
    R36 =

Yep your the winner. 5 and half months was a killer so l don't envy you but you will appreciate how good a ride these things are when it does.

I'd have been close if I'd had your patience. We cancelled the order for a GT SPort Golf and boughtr a GTI instead after 5 months wait. Was going to be almost 7 months.

I ordered my Touareg at the start of December and had it delivered in the following May, however only got it because I happen to drive pass and saw the truck dropping it off at the dealers. The dealers were going to hold on to it for another 4 to 6 weeks (the July) before I was to take delivery because the vehicle was not yet released in Australia (a facelift T2 Touareg).
When the dealer found I was able to walk out of the deal because they forgot to get me to sign on ordering (or leaving a deposit) someone waved the magic wand and my vehilce was ready for pick up.

    I waited 19 months for my R36..
The moment I found out about it in November 2006 I cancelled my 3.2 order and waited patiently till July 2008

Good things come to those that wait
