Steering Wheel Buttons on Passat B6

Just wondering what the Star shaped button is meant to be for on the left of the steering wheel?

Also wondering if anyone has got SIRI to activate while holding the phone button down with a blue tooth kit installed?

The star button only works when you've got an integrated Bluetooth kit installed.

SIRI is fairly new tech, but Voice Activation on the Premium VW Bluetooth kits has been retro-fitted successfully in the past.

The star button actually mutes/pauses music for me on my RNS510 as i dont have the bluetooth kit. This is handy when my Blueant rings and i can just mute everything by a quick button.

With a Bluetooth kit, it's meant to activate voice controls. You can also re-code it with VCDS to be a Mute button. The VW voice control is pretty ordinary, so I've just disabled mine.

I use this button for nearly everthing. Voice control works wery well on 9wz with rns510. Can you star button on wheel for phone call otherwise another star button is on rns510 for rest.
Overall, i am happy with it
