Thread: ST Wietec (KW) springs

  1. #11

I agree, its a bloody joke, waste of time and money, they have a funny design too, where the coils bunch up on each other.

I have KW springs and they lowered my car nicely.

Sounds like you got sold the wrong springs.

How come you didnt go with KW?

Apparently ST are made by KW, the kit number was checked and found to be correct, they fitted in correctly as well. The company sent me a set of free H&R's for the inconvenience.

Weitec are the entry level of suspension parts from KW.

KW and H&R are equal in terms of quality and performance.

Glad to hear they sorted you out.

Reason why i didnt go with H&R was that they were 10mm lower than the KW and was conscious of my wife scrapping the car.

Were they selling KW as well?

Agreed, that's higher than stock R36 height.

That's actually pretty unbeatable customer service. So you have the correct H&R lowering springs now for the R36? Awesome! How much lower than the stock 25mm lowering springs are you now?

The H&R springs havn't arrived yet, but once they're installed I'll post some pics. I am also confused about the H&R kit numbers. Some suppliers list the sport spring product # 54762 and others list # 29162-4 for the Passat 4 motion. SO which ones are correct ?
