^ no difference to the DPF. It doesnt affect the engines operation in any way other than speeding up the throttle signal speed (giving better throttle response) and makes the engine feel a bit more urgent. I have one in my Golf and it's a good little device.

Ok. The reason I ask is coz by speeding up throttle on initial acceleration cause more soot etc which is harmful to the DPF I was told

Plenty of guys on here with TDI Golf's using them and no reported issues. Any DPF damage (although unlikely i would think) would be long term anyway - the DPF gets clogged over time regardless, so even if a Sprintbooster sped this up by 10-20% it would still happen very slowly over a long period of time/km travelled.

Hopefully Greg Roles (or one of the other TDI guru's) sees this and chimes in as he will be able to tell you straight up. Might be worthwhile creating a new thread in the dedicated Diesel section to get more visibility. Diesels

Anyone tried PedalBox? VWVortex forum has some installed on their R32 and says the same likes as with the SprintBooster.
I studied online and its similar to Sprintbooster but it has programmable points within the settings (like 18 in total within 3 setpoints). Price is about the same with Express shipping on eBay.

Havent heard of PedalBox before, but looks to be quite similar to the Sprintbooster. Another option that quite a few Golf guys are using is the D1 Throttle Controller which is about $150: D1 Throttle Controller (= $150 sprintbooster with more settings, quality)
