stupid hey... Let's see what you put on your car, I guess by the time you grow enough balls to mod the love of your life I would have been through 5 sets of wheels..... I think there is a sale somewhere on the net on replica wheels you should get some

I believe Rocket is getting some BBS LM's which are definitely classy and quality wheels.
I respect his willingness to keep it otherwise stock as it is an .:R and as such is pretty much perfect from the factory.

I like the look of the gallardo fronts as it is agressive and unique on a passat here.
Do they provide any physical difference i.e. reduced unsprung weight etc, or are they purely aesthetic?

I'm looking at a set of 5 BBS (CH in Matte Black or CK in Brilliant Anthracite) at the moment buddy. Certainly won't ever buy replicas! Getting a set of 5 to maximise the lower weight benefit. As for needing balls to mod a can (assuming you actually mean car), WTF? I have modded nearly every car/bike I've owned and it wasn't because I had balls - that has nothing to do with it. Thing with the R36 is they're such a great car you don't need to rush into mods to really enjoy it - well that's what I think anyway and why mine's nearly a year old and still not modded. But it will be now that I'm in Melbourne, BBS wheels, exhaust, re-tune. That's all it will need!

And just re-read what I said... NOWHERE did I say it was stupid that you put them on your car or that you were stupid or anything that was directed personally at you. I just think the Gallardo wheels look rediculous - EVEN ON THE BLOODY GALLARDO!!! Don't take it to heart buddy. You're happy, and that's the main thing!

And if you're going through 5 sets of wheels on one car, you should probably rethink your strategy. Find something you love from the start and stick with it. Otherwise you just end up wasting and losing a lot of money. Also another reason I don't rush into modding.

Yup. And like I said. That's the main thing for everyone, happiness with their own cars!

111 i can understand where you're coming from and can sympathise... i noted and sensed from earlier posts that people had their doubts that you are actually running lambo wheels...indeed from..it should look AWESOME...it has now become....stupid...(yes i'm taking some poetic license)

Like i said everyone is entitled to an opinion...we just take it in the chin

Regardless enjoy your ride and take considerable comfort in knowing that there aren't too many passats on lambo wheels which IMHO are a very nice looking unit.

The AWESOME comment was actually with reference to it being lowered... Apologies if that was unclear. MONTHS ago when there was a pic of a white R36 with Gallardo wheels on it, I said then they (the wheels) looked stupid then. But that's just my opinion. I know most people like them.
