Seat settings sync to remote - R36

    Hi All,

I have successfully synced my remote to the seat setting preset 1 in my R36 . I'm trying to sync the other remote to preset 2 for my wifes settings but for some reason the second remote doesn't want to play ball?
Is there a different requirement for the second remote? the manual doesn't seem to indicate so
Any help appreciated or I'll have to visit a Dealer during the week I guess.

Sorry, can't give you too much advice other than the manuals instructions.
Both my keys synced with no issue.

Probably best for a trip to your friendly VW Dealer.

BTW, does your spare key work? i.e unlock / lock / start car?
(I know that sounds like a silly question, but it is a valid one)

Yep, everything works it just won't "gong" and sync the setting.
Strange given the main remote worked first time and I haven't done anything different. Guess I'll just have to visit a Dealer.
    cheers

Sorry can't help either as I haven't really used 2nd remote yet.

Wouldn't mind seeing some photo's of your wheels and how they look on your car as not many R36's with custom wheels around yet, despite several on this forum considering.

as I have no idea how to link to a photo and have tried (and failed) in the past pm me if you like and I'll email you a shot.
just ignore the front grill (and the colour of the wheels) as there's plans to change this but the plans have stalled while I (impatiently) wait for the guy who's doing it to set up his paintshop
    cheers

It was colour matched to my previous wheels (RS4 reps) which I really never liked from day 1 so I ditched them for the VMR's (which I think look awesome and *shock*horror* I'm happy with).
The VMR's are more a metalicy gunmetal, the grill is matt dark grey and I think it looks a bit cheap so I'm planning on changing the lot to match, more a shadow chrome dark grey if that makes any sense
Sheez, I'm never happy once I start....

    Hey GHW,

Sorry but don't have much info on the 2nd remote thing.
But i'd be happy to post your pics up in the Passat Pics sticky thread for you.
I'm really keen to see what your car looks like atm with the new rims...something i'd consider doing aswell.
Will PM my email address to you.

    Cheers,
    Jayse.

    No prob, will do.
Seems a number of ppl keen to see what these wheels look like on an R36 so happy to oblige.
Re the remote key, Austral service sorted me out today (nice of them considering they know the car wasn't bought there)
