I'm not sure that the RNS510 is good value BUT I love the way it all integrates. ie. the dash display is good, the voice control is novel and actually works and it has a nice big display. There are things I would definitely add such as speed display and camera warnings. (I actually run a TomTom to give me the warnings) I bought a bluetooth phone kit which integrates very well too. So I have to say I like it but I'm not sure it's worth the money spent. That said, I'm not sure there are any alternatives that are better.

A number of the cars I'm looking at (to buy new) don't have the Sat Nav but do have the Rear Camera. Will this be a problem or straightforward for a dealer to fit ?

    Thanks

    Good question.

How does an aftermarket RNS510 integrate with things like reverse camera, bluetooth, steering wheel controls, MFD, etc? Is the functionality as though it was factory fitted?

    Thanks!

Sorry to revive an old thread but im looking at buying one of these for my mk6 golf.
Just had a few questions that i was hoping you guys could answer...
Im planning to buy off ebay and was wondering if anyone could recommend a seller they have used and are happy with?
Also, this is the OEM unit right? so it should work with all the steering wheel controls and whatnot?
And has anyone had any problems with radio signal? A friend of mine made the mistake of buying a chinese version and the sat nav, radio and almost everything on it either barely worked or was too complicated to understand.
    Thanks

Mate buy an original or you'll be kicking yourself latter on , And the mark 6 is an easy install .I bought my RNS510 about 5 months ago and i'm very happy for the price you can't go wrong.
You should be able to pick up a C version with 2760 firmware and Australian maps for under $1,000 delivered.
