Ok so somehow the coding has been borked on the RNS510. It has an invalid bit set somewhere.
Once you have the coding I can check it against mine and see what is set.

Then hopefully the resolution will be a case of setting the coding to blank (all zeros) and then setting it back up to the correct coding values.

If this still fails then you can load a factory firmware image that will reset the coding to blank in the course of the upgrade.

This is new to me. Possibly it could have been locked not to accept any changes. This is possible only if security access is denied. The only way this can be changed is by the dealer they need to contact tech support and get security code to access the nav unit. This has happened to me while working on an up!! The navigon could not be coded unless security access was granted I'm aware these are different units but same rule applies. What gets me is how this was done by the dealer in question will need more info, they have no right to tell you not to fit RVC as it will void wty
What's the case if you were retro fitting a genuine reverse camera?

Which module gave the coding out of range error? Is it address #37 Navigation? (ie RNS510)
If so please post the coding that is currently on the module.
