    RNS 510 with Satellite Radio

Does anyone know if the RNS510 in Australia have Satellite Radio Capabilities?

Like the Sirius Satellite Radio is offered standard in all the VW's models in US

It would be great if we have it as well so we would get at least 200+ more radio channels.

I'm almost sure it doesn't. The darn thing doesn't even have bluetooth (so we get a lousy 'Phone' button that does nothing!)

Does anyone know if the premium bluetooth module that is available in EU can be retrofitted to the RNS510 here? So far I've been told the only bluetooth option available is a dealer fitted version which is not integrated to the RNS. Not sure if there is any compatibility issues but if its bluetooth standard I don't see why it wouldn't work..........any ideas?

I'd probably see the VW sales tomorrow at the Perth Motor show. I will raise this issue with him and let you know.

Awesome...I've seen some posts on the BT module which seem to only support 2G network bandwidths. Maybe that's the problem but its a bit disappointing that the RNS510 doesn't support bluetooth especially when others brands i.e. Merc/BMW and even holden have BT.

I'd also be interested to know the answer re fitting bluetooth to the rns510.

(Posted a thread here about it: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...ad.php?t=15108).

    Thanks.
