Well the unit is stock, car is 2010 build.
Not sure what firmware is running as I don't have the secret menu unlocked.
The unit just resets, shuts it's self off and restarts and continues to the last song it was playing off my sd card.
It has also done it a couple of times while on a Bluetooth phone call.
That's all I can give
Any feed back guys ?
Maybe faulty sd card....did you try another sd card?

I'm going to say battery. Strange things happened to my Golf's MkV SatNav unit when the battery was "dying". (It would disappear from the car's MFD) A new battery fix it.
Is there a way to do a battery check using the car's diagnostics
Not that I'm aware of. The useless dealer said it wasn't the battery in the two times I took it back to them. Even had the nerve to charge me for the 2nd visit. The dead give away that it was the battery was when it was disconnected, it would make the SatNav unit reappear again until a few days/week later.
What's the damage on a battery.
Did you get any other issue when battery was low
