RNS-510 PC video-in with touch screen support

    Hi All,

To celebrate 5 years with my R36 and to kick off the next 5 years, Im going to put in a car PC video/music server with touch screen support!

While I'm at it I'll start looking around for Dynaudio retro upgrade parts and probably fit the reversing camera too since the video module support reversing camera too.

    Video Interface

Touch Screen interceptor (works with built-in touch screen with full operation of existing functions)
USB Touch Screen Controller. Car Solutions Online Store

Inputs: multi video interface A/V input (external video source) × 3
CVBS input (rear camera) × 1
Analog RGB input (navigation system output) × 1
LCD input (car system input) × 1

    2.Outputs: LCD output × 1
    Audio select × 4

    3.Power Input power: 8 V DC ~ 24 V DC
    Consumption power: 12 W, Max

4.Switch input mode Video input mute function: possible to mute each input with DIP switches
Possible to switch video sources with a remote button

USB touch screen controllerr in combination with touch screen panel simplifies user interface and control of various devices. It enables, for example, additional navigation unit or CarPC touch screen control on car built-in monitor.

USB touch screen controller is designed especially for 4-wire resistive touch screen panels. It works with computer systems directly through USB port and supports "Plug & Play" technology. USB touch screen controller fully emulates left and right mouse button functions.

And the N2820 Intel NUC running a customised version of JRiver Media Centre 19.
I already have the NUC running in the car for streaming FLAC, MP3s and SACD ISO's via my iPhone BT using the JRiver MC19 Linux version on the NUC and controlling the NUC with JRemote. I have a video of the NUC I'll post up too.

I thought this was the next logical evolution.

I'll let you know how it goes.
