He even wanted me to sign a sale contract for the Mazda and adjust accordingly depending on what I did with the Passat. I absolutely refused as I said to them from the start that I wasn't willing to go above a $20,000 changeover and that I owed it to myself to see how much I could get for my Passat via private sale. Besides, as good as the new Mazda6 is, it's not necessarily better than either the Passat or Superb. It really boils down to a different design aesthetic and driving experience when comparing German and Japanese cars.
I'm afraid I'm not eligible for a corporate or fleet discount, but it'll be very interesting to see how I go later this week with VW as I want to check out the CC very carefully.
I believe there is a new Superb on the way, so let's hope Volkswagen Australia do the right thing with such a fine car.
