Rear window shade for Passat wagon?

    Hi All,

Finally (hopefully..) picking up the new Passat wagon this week. We need to get some window shades for the rear passenger doors to block the sun out for our children. We have the "socks" that fit over window/door frames on our current car, and are happy with them (as they block more sun than the ones that just stick via suction cup to the inside) but we are trying to find some that are well fitted/customized to the Passat wagon.

Any ideas? Anyone have any that fit well? If so, where did you get them from?

    Thanks,

Congrats on the soon to be had new car mate.

I got the window sox for my 2008 r36 wagon and from what i can tell, nothing has changed much for the rear doors on the 2011 wagon.

Hi, considering the doors are supposed to be the same you could ring your local VW dealer and order the following; Genuine Rear Door Sunblinds - 3C9 064 363. I have these on my Passat and work really well. They sit inside the door windows and are genuine accessories. The pull out sunshade were not available as ann option in Australia as far as I am aware.

Maybe a new part number on the updated model, but ask your parts guys. They would know best.

Thanks Guys. I did ask the dealer about the factory accessory blinds but apparently they don't have them in yet for the new model. Will check again at first service time. Otherwise, a trip to Autobarn is on the cards!

On the upside, they have now found my car - pick up on Friday afternoon!
