Are the R36 brakes larger?. Seems to be a trait of any R–line car. When at the dealer I noticed (both on 18 " wheels) a set of tea cup saucers on a CC (not sure which engine) versus dinner plates on the R36.

According to the 2010 Passat, 2010 Passat CC and 2012.5 Passat Wagon brochures, the 4-cylinder models get ventilated discs front and solid discs rear, while the 6-cylinder models get ventilated discs all round, but no mention of disc diameter.

I still cant understand why there is not a R36 model in the new series!!!

It was one of the best and most popular models !

Strange that it has been deleted.....

I would have purchased one if it existed!

I was under the impression the new R Passat would be getting that 1.8t engine. Taking a bit of a hit in the power department though.

If we're really good, they might give us something like the V6 3.0 TFSI out of the Audi S4...

I want the next R36 to be an R25, with the turbo five pulled from the TTRS, purely for the sound... nom nom nom
    R36 =
