But the one from bunnings is absolute rubbish, doesn't meet any standards (not even the Australian standard 3790 which is a joke) and will be useless in an emergency.

A warning triangle that meets the UN-ECE 27R requirements will have

    - An inner florescent triangle for use during the day with the reflector for night time use.
    - Watertight reflector, the cheap ones are not watertight and as soon as water enters the area behind the reflector they stop working - 100%.
    - A design that allows it to remain standing even with trucks passing them, the cheap ones fall and this renders them useless or even a hazard.

BMW sell some cheap ones for under $20 in a plastic bag that meet all the requirements and for around $35 you get a plastic case.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "useless in an emergency". if your life is hinging on a warning triangle I think that there is something wrong.

Mine looks like this and I think for $10 and with a usage rate of once per 10 years or so, I'm happy to chuck it out after every use. It's imported by Whites Wires (who seem reputable) and has the E in a circle mark on it.

    Check?

Quite probably. If it rains I'll get a new one

Four legs at the corners, each 400mm long. Looks stable to me

I guess if it was something you know would be used regularly, then a 350% premium would be worth the spend, but you know how my mind works...... "Even a cheap crappy triangle is an improvement over what most people have in their cars."

The purpose of the warning triangle is to warn traffic that there is a hazard ahead, it's pointless if when you need to rely on one if it blows over and ends up creating a hazard itself.

Ok, so it seems that we have got it wrong again!
Part No: 000093055K does not fit in the alcove as it is too high.

I have now been told the correct Part No: 1Y0093055 is not available to be ordered in Australia, Euro market only.

So once again my question to all with agons, what Safety Triangle Part Numbers do you have?!

    Hi ope126,
The triangle in mine has 2 different part numbers: p/n 8D9 860 251 B under audi and vw logos on the main case, and p/n27R03566 under a GEKA logo on the lid of the case.

Will see what I come up with, actually sounds like an Audi Part Number.
