RE: Blue Tinted Side Mirror Glass

Hi All,

Quick question...

My old Mk4 GTI had Blue Tinted Side Mirror Glass, I thought this was pretty cool!

However my Passat does not have this.

Dont shot me if I am wrong, but are the side mirrors the same on MK5 Golfs, Passats, EOS, even Skodas etc.

I understand that you can get these from some parts suppliers overseas, i.e esctuning and eBay, however they all seem to be non-genuine glass.

Does anyone have Blue Tinted Side Mirror Glass on there OZ delivered (Newer) dubs?

If so please let me know!

hi ope, i can confirm that the golf mk5 mirrors are the same as those on the b6 passat....i changed mine no problems...

Thanks Stan, I had the same also.

Basically I am wanting to get Blue Tinted Side Glass Mirrors for my 2007 Passat. Obvoiusly the MK4 ones do not fit.
Does anyone with a MK5 Golf, EOS, B6 Passat, Skoda etc. have these on their cars, if so, they must be available from VW Parts Australia.

Problem is, when ordering from VW Parts, they generally need a VIN NO.
So I was hoping if anyone has these on the late model dubs, they could assist me so that I too can order these parts.

Unless anyone has another suggestion on how to get Genuine VW Mirror Glass for left and right.

Audi VW has stopped production of these mirrors on newer models due to limited visability in comparison to standard mirrors

And too this day I am unable to find Blue Tinted Mirror Glass...

Genuine VW that is, I am not after cheap knock of glass.

I think BMW still use Blue Tinted Glass.
