    Radiator fan running after switchoff

Hi, my MY13 Alltrack sporadically runs the radiator fans full tilt after switchoff , and for no apparent reason, as I am not driving any different at the time. Will run for a number of minutes and go off.
Not worried, more puzzled as it doesn't appear to be weather related either ( even after a very short run on a cold day).
The frequency is quite low, maybe once or twice a month when I do 2500km a month! Most trips are freeway or city roads.

It sounds like an interrupted DPF regen. I believe that when a regen is underway the engine runs richer and hotter than normal, if we turn off the engine during this process the fan(s) come on and do their thing to cool everything down. It has happened to me a few times in 2 years/ 75,000km.
