    Damn that looks real good!

How well does the vinyl withstand chips and dents? What would happen if someone decided to key your car?

You can't really key the car if it has a vinyl wrap on it.
Google ventureshield PPF and they have the key test, they couldn't even tear a hole in it with a key.

I like it!...... but obviously it would have been easier to buy a white car then .....
I would suggest you wrap the roof in carbon look wrap then ditch those puny wheels
    Good work !

I must be missing something. You can protect the paint just as well, if not better, with decent waxes and sealants. Vinyl won't stop dents/scratches. And if it's ever pulled off you're going to have weeks worth of cleaning and paint decontamination - possibly even a respray if it lifts layers of paint (which does happen from contacts).

You will NEVER get a nice deep shine ever again.

Not only that, but all the black to can see around the edges (especially the boot) looks crap! Buy a white one and have the roof resprayed black.

Certainly not something I would ever get done and certainly doesn't look good. It can't be inspired by the new M3 as the new M3 is PAINTED with CARBON FIBRE bonnet and roof. Not a square mm of vinyl to be seen.

He's already stated that white is unavailable in the UK
I don't think you could quite compare this product to "contact"

This could also provide a whole extra level of protection for the salt that gets put down on their roads during winter.

Not sure if a wax and sealer could protect as well as a layer of vinyl which when removed properly leaves the original painwork in near new condition.
Maybe if you did it every 4-6 weeks but who's going to do that when it's sub-zero temperatures outside and it's just going to get mucked up again as soon as you drive on the road.

Looking good - it is a shame those parking sensors couldn't be left covered up.
Great to see this on a car that isn't a tradesmans van (or a lambo).

I have vinyl wrap in mind for my track car...

Obviously your paint was in good shape before this went on, but what sort of surface prep do they have to do? eg removing waxes, dust etc?

    Mmmmmm, not bad strategy......
Get your car wrapped and when you get a massive speeding fine unwrap it and tell the courts that somebody must have somehow manufactured rego plates with your number on it as your car is a different colour.....

Haha, reminds me of some movie I saw a while back where an assassin or bank robers after the crime just sprayed off a layer of paint on their car to change it's colour. Can't remember what it was called though.
