I stopped leaving the sunroof open after a friend got a strawberry milkshake poured in to his car through the sunroof.

neat trick- if it was a teenager you could pour the milkshake down the crack in his exposed undies.

    Watch out for big winds...

The only other thing that has happened to me is when the two front windows were open about 15mm (with streamlined weathershields installed) and the sunroof was tilted open about the same, a big wind has blown up and the ultrasonic inside has triggered the alarm.

I did not think to disable the interior sensor before locking, and lo and behold, my friends (where we were staying the night) and their neighbours were all woken by the sound of a Passat playing a tune at 3am.

But I know it works! ...and so do they...

I'll go back and check my manual to see if I have the rain sensor option to close the sunroof too - I have left it closed when parking at work because I thought it was going to rain, and then it never did. It would be nice to have the sunroof shut if the car sensed rain (or a milkshake for that matter - little sh&#!@ads)
