R36 Sunroof being scraped on full retract

    Hey guys,

I've recently noticed that when I fully retract my sunroof (so, when you have to hold the turning knob for a few seconds), I hear a scraping noise, and I've noticed that the glass itself has some scratches.

There's no issue on tilt, or if I let it auto retract -- only when it's fully retracted does this happen.

    Thoughts?

Maybe a quick clean of the rails to get any built up dirt off.
Give that a try first and see how you go.

Also put some Einszett Gummi Plege (or similar) on the rubbers around the glass.

Yeah, fair cop. I don't think I've given it a proper cleaning. Hadn't heard about the rubber protector, so I'll give that a look as well.

I figure a picture might be a bit more helpful.
