    R36 Staggered wheel setup?

Sorry for the thypical newbie question. I have been trying to figure out what wheels to get on my R36. A few people have been saying that I could face issues with the all wheel drive system.

So my question to all of you out there is.... Anyone running a staggered wheel setup on an R36, specifically a wagon.

    Thanks

    If you have 18" wheels

    Front: 235/40 R18 95W XL
    Rear: 265/35 R18 97W XL

    If you have 19" wheels

    Front: 235/35 R19 91Y XL
    Rear: 265/30 R19 93Y XL

For a vehicle with an AWD drivetrain, it is important to keep the diameter of each tyre the same, otherwise you risk damage to the differential/s.

A more immediate problem would be the issue of fitment of such wide rear tyres (and presumably wheels as well), which may or may not come into contact with the bodywork while driving.

For a 265/35 R18 or 265/30 R19 tyre, you will at least need a 9.0J wheel. You don't have to change the fronts.

Biggest problem with R36 wheel upgrades is finding a tyre with sufficient load rating.

Thanks for your help, I think to avoid headaches, I am just going to go 19x8.5 all round. My biggest concern after doing a bit of reading is now the tyre pressure monitor sensor things.....
