    R36 Stability control

Can any one tell me if you can turn off the stability control in an R36 sedan?

I went to the skid pan a while back and was cursing how safe these cars are. It spent the whole time pulling me back straight and did anything but skid!

If you cannot turn it off, is there any after market products/modules that can overrule the computer??

    Cheers

    Skid pan in an R36?
Your a braver man than I am...

ESP can be switched "off", however I believe that it is never really "off".
Alot of car manufacturers now do the smae thing, just an added safety feature I guess.

However if you do find a way to completly turn it off, let us know!

Are you sure it was the ESC and not the AWD/tyre combo preventing you from skidding?

Definitely the ESC. We could hear the rear inside brake protesting and on lookers could see the inside rear wheel locking periodically in it's attempt to straighten us up. The trainer put some extra Diesel down for us to coax it into a slide but the stability control just seemed to keep doing it's job. Even if I had a proper hand brake to initiate the slide, the ESC would taken over I recon!
