Folowing good reviews in Wheels tyre tests - second to Goodyear F1 - I have Falken FK452 on my 2002 V6 4Motion and I'm very impressed. I've had a few sets of F1s and these are at least as good for grip, not sure about wear as I've only had them for a couple of months but looking good.

At a recent advanced driver training day, my instructor was impressed with their performance in wet skid pan.

Also, about $60-70 a tyer cheaper than F1.

I'm still recommending the PS2's as being FAR better for mechanical dry/wet grip and noise than any other of the long list of name brand (best tyre from each) tyres (Bridgestone, Continental, Pirelli, Yokohama, Dunlop, Michelin) I have driven on. The second set of PS2's I'm currently running only have about 3,000km's of life left in them (27,000km so far) and they feel just as good as the week I scrubbed them in.

It's not always the case that you get what you pay for; however if you have the (big) budget the PS2's will be the best performer.
Michelin PS3s, set of 4 @ $336 per tyre on special for the launch.

PS2s by contrast are $884 each.

Wow, great price! And just as well, because according to the press kit they're not due in America until 2011.

What are the chances of buying a defective tyre from the US and receive no warranty by the local installer?

I bought my Hankook and it could not balance properly with the wheels and car. They replace 4 new tyres after 2 weeks. I hate to experience the hassle and freight cost if the tyres had issues.

On the PS3's now, and I'm definitely not dissapointed yet.
They seem to hang on just the same as the PS2's in the few bends I've thrown the car into, and they're not even scrubbed in yet.

For $250 a corner, I'll put it out there and say that it's the best buy compared to others in that price range.
I'll try get away over the next few days, perhaps next long weekend for a spirited drive. That'll give me the confidence to say if they are truly just as good as the PS2's.

    Penrith.

I called up a Jax for parity, and their price was $240 fitted. They just took 1 day to arrive and I was impatient for the sake of $40.
