    R36 Rear View Camera Installation

    Hi All,

I'm just going through the process of trying to get a R/V Camera functioning and have run into a slight snag so seek the assistance of my learned colleagues (or not so learned). I have managed to get the software coded (or at least I think I have) to where it should be but all I get on the RNS is the guide lines and no camera. I can cycle between OPS and CAM and OPS works fine so I'm thinking that I may not have the wiring totally correct as the camera does not do it's sneaky thing and pop out of the VW emblem like it should.

I got the kit from Kufatec (it's a kit for a CC but I'm led to believe that it should work) and even though they have assisted with coding issues don't really want to get involved as they have not tested the kit on an R36 which is understandable.

Any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated and beers would be dispensed to all.

    cheers

    Murray

    Retrofit R/V Camera

    Hi guys,

Just a final wrap on this install. All works as it should and although I still prefer to check the mirrors I can see distinct advantages in paralell parking. For anyone interested, I used a Passat CC kit from Kufatec and had it installed by the guys at AutoBarn Cairns. After a few issues with getting the power to where it was needed it all fell into place. I coded the system which was a hit and miss affair but it all seems very logical and intuitive when using the VCDS equipment.

Oh, and BTW, VWA reckons this can't be done either!

    cheers

Great that you have the guidance lines. I have the opposite problem, the camera comes up but no lines.
