Has anyone heard anything further re the bluetooth module for the RNS510? Now that the cars are close to production it seems less likely the module will be available (at least not in the first production run).

I'm in the inner west of Sydney. I'm tossing up buying from Barloworld in Five Dock, who have been less than helpful but are close to my home, or the more helpful folk at Denlo in Parramatta.

The lease on my Mazda6 MPS expires in October, so if I want any chance of having a replacement in time I think I'll have to pre-order an R36. In that case, I don't think anyone will have a car to test drive before I slap down my deposit.

In lieu of a test drive I'm interested in reading some reviews/experiences of real people (or even journalists - do they qualify as real people?) who have driven the car. All I can find on the web is a re-hash of VW press releases. I assume that this car is available overseas so I'm surprised I can't find any forums with people discussing their real-life driving experiences.

I haven't, but I changed my order to remove the Parrot Bluetooth in anticipation of retrofitting the RNS510 module some time in the future.

I don't think it's on the road anywhere yet. It's looking like Australia may be one of the first markets to receive them.

OK - that makes sense now.

I managed to score one of the first MPS's off the boat in Nov '05, so if I get my act together I might end up with one of the first R36's as well (after all you good folk, of course). It's good to feel the thrill of something new and exciting on it's way.

I'll hi-5 you RWK. It's been a great run with the MPS6 but I'm tired with the manual and ready for an auto, and the DSG is about as good an auto as you can get.

Exactly right. Thats another reason why I sell my MPS6 for the Passats.

Both I ordered are DSG. I am tired with the manual too especially in heavy traffics on Freeway every morning.
