Can anyone share their experience on the launching the R36 (or any DSG Passat) quickly without launch control?
I don't like the one second delay when letting go the brakes with the revs on. Also, simply stamping on the accelerator piles on a lot of revs but the clutch seems to take a long time to gain traction.

I've found that tramping it from standstill I'll get a slight amount of front wheelspin before it goes into AWD mode and accelerates. I don't find that the clutch slips too much when doing this. I'll get a lot more wheelspin doing this when the front wheels are turned slightly, to the point that there is some front axle tramp.
