R36 illuminated air vent mod (like B7 vents)

Just managed to install the wirings to the vents. Looks good at night. Fills the gap on the top & sides with some lighting.
    Instructions can be found here:

Also received my Lukas LK-290 dash cam battery protection unit. But I need to find a suitable fuse location to tap for +12V and Acc+.

    Cool!

A bit off topic, but a small mod I did to my LED floor lights was to cut a pice of red lighting gel a slide it between the LED unit and the lens. It doesn't give a 100% red glow, but a mix of red and white which looks kinda cool and it continues the red lighting theme in the interior too.

it looks awesome come to think of it.

Thinking of getting this LED DRL next. Any thoughts? It looks exactly like the Slimline DRLs they sell which many Golfs installed but lots cheaper.

Open fusebox and add a couple of fuses to KL15 and KL30 for ignition switched and +12 perm power so it looks factory. just need some repair wires.

Looks good mate. Seen these on ebay but i've got other things to get first like LED interior bulbs.
With regards to the DRL's, they look virtually the same as the ones that i just installed on my R a few weeks ago. They go alright.

    Thanks booba!
When you refer to KL15 & KL30, are you referring to the right side fuse box as pictured below (taken from web for >2008 passat B6):

If yes, can I use another location for the ignition power other than KL15, coz I only have 2 add a fuse circuit for the std type fuse which is similar to KL30.
    Appreciate your help!

For my interiors I got the warm white ones and I have replaced all the interior including footwells with warm white. Bright enough for me & the kids.
Bought them a while ago from here:

Just purchased an led for my trunk. Getting tired of dropping my kids water bottle in the boot and not seeing it. Then running to the car late at night to get it!

Overall I've got a few more on my list but it's taking me very slow to do them...RVC camera & DRLs.

Yeah, thanks mate. I'll look into it. With regards to the DRL and RVC, just check out two threads that i've started recently. That should help you out. I've actually got a quick meet today with someone that is going to have a crack at coding the RCD510 i've installed, and then code the RVC. Fingers crossed it goes alright!

Ps. I've installed two sets of DRL's now on R36's. Just give me a holler if you need a hand.

sorry, what i mean by KL15 and KL30 is that these refer to the always ignition switched 12v and always on 12v not the fuse positions. each row of fuses will be a certain rail which will be switched or permanently on. you need figure out which is which with a multimeter then take apart the fuse box and insert additional repair wires into empty locations.
