    From what I've read and my own little research I think the earlier 2008-early 09 models had the DSG issues, but they made changes in the later 09 ones which resolved them for the most part.

    There was a software update available as well, which my car received a while back and I've yet to see any real problems apart from my squeaky wipers.

    Depending on how hard you drive, petrol may be of concern, hah. I tend to get around 10.5l/100km on average with mixed driving so not that bad.
    Hey mate,

    We have just put a deposit down on a 08 R36 for my Dad, What problems did the DSG have in this year?

    I'd appreciate all feedback and the deposit is not binding
