OMG i was just about to order a set of EBC Slotted rotors and EBC red pads from the UK. I am really glad you posted this.
Back to the drawing board then for some rotors
I have read that hawk make some really good pads too?
After only 4 months of having the EBC red pads (with EBC slotted & dimpled rotors) on my car they have warped the rotors
Every time I brake the whole car shatters.
Will need to replace the front brake pads
Any recommendations???
Dust wise and performance wise they were great.
Have been recomended RDA Extreme pads
The pads are for everyday use.

I think the rotors are good its just the pads that caused the issue.
Im keeping the rotors machine them and put on new pads.
Did you find with that combo your stopping power was any better? I guess its hard to tell if your just driving on the street and not on a track.
I need new brakes all around and im unsure if i should just get some ebc green stuff and cheaper slotted rotors or go with something better.

If you need new pads - get Remsa's from GSL Rallysport (sponsor on here). They are fantastic pads. Low dust, low rotor wear and noiseless like the OEM pads. I've been running them for 2.5yrs now and not a single drama.
GSL will be able to sort you out with new rotors too (if you need them). Just have your car's VIN number handy to quote them, as they need this to verify the right part number for your car.

ok i have just been through an annoying experience with an attempt at brake upgrade. car is an R36 sedan.
after researching on the net, i decided to go for DBA slotted rotors and QFM HPX pads. i was after performance with no dust
this setup worked well but the pads sqeualed like hell. i'm talking every time i braked. horrible.
swapped them for a set or remsas. the pads are very good but the dust is probably WORSE than standard.
am very happy with the combo but need weekly cleaning of my wheels. the rotors are top notch and highly recommended.
if i were to do this again i would upgrade the rotors and use standard pads.
big big big thumbs up for GSL rallysport. while they do take time to reply to emails, they are genuinely a top company with customer service something which lacks in the car industry.
Since this thread I think i will stay away from EBC rotors/pads and go with GSL with some DBA 4000 T3/T2 rotors and import some Hawk performance pads since they rate so well with the GTI/R32 community. Please someone tell me that setup is ok, otherwise ill just go non slotted rotors which is boring!

Rotors being machined and pads replaced with RDA extreme brake pads next week.
See how we go with this.
Hopefully saves my rotors and not a lot of brake dust gets produced. Will advise of outcome
Might have a set of reds up for anyone interested
