Sounds like it's the exhaust (& manifold), it expands when it warms up and retracts again when the car is turned off. If you are worried, you can open the bonnet and see where the sound comes from, if between the engine and firewall then it's likely the exhaust, this is normal and nothing to worry about.

No not at all But interestingly enough the more i drive it...now odo at 1700km the less the noise. the other day i barely hear any tinkling noises, nor is the whirring noise back as well. Perhaps it's all good?
